Bike Barbeque Beer Turnout
Yesterday was the Bike Barbeque Beer Ride. We had a lot of fun despite the low numbers of riders. I find it funny how a lot of people say that they would go out for the ride but only a couple of guys actually make it.

We decided to go out to the Stony Creek Trail. Nothing too technical about this place but you just can’t beat the scenery.
I usually like to take it easy the first quarter mile just to warm up. But this time, we had no choice but to start pedaling hard to stay warm. It was so cold snow flurries were actually dropping every so often that day.
Check out some of the scenery we had to enjoy.
The ground was still soft from all the snow and rain we’ve had the past couple of weeks. So there were spots that would just swallow up your tires if your not careful. I found that out the hard way on one of the turns I made. Check out the reenactment of what happened.
Luckily I was clipped in to the pedals. If not, the bike would have definitely slammed right on top of me.
Here’s a shot of the guys on the way back to the cars.
Once we were done with the mountain biking portion of the day, the Barbeque and Beer followed shortly.
Check out the cool guy shirt I had on. (Left) I just had to have a mtnbikeriders.com t-shirt.
I think the rest of the guys who was supposed to go out for the ride must have smelled the barbeque because they just started showing up out of nowhere. Here’s a shot of some of the guys by my bar. There’s Soraya my wife on the left. Aint she just so purty!
It turned out to be a pretty cool day. We got to mix up a few things that I love to do, mountain biking, barbequing, and drinking beers with a few good friends. But of course you can’t just sit around and stare at each other all night. So we kicked it up a notch and got everyone to do keg stands.
The Bike Barbeque Beer ride was a blast and a big success! This is something we definitely have to do again. Hopefully we could get a few more riders to come out the next time around.
