Weighs about 35lbs…give or take a few grams.
Lance will be reviewing this bad boy and we’ll also hand it over to Jeremy “Mr 29er” to see how it favors against his hard tail 29er…perhaps we can convince him that 26″ bikes are superior to 29ers….
Nice looking ride! Priced very well too.
That looks like a decent bike for the money.
That’s a good parts spec for the price…and I love the color — looking good! I’m looking forward to hearing how it handles the trails.
Yeah its a pretty sweet bike…I’m kinda jealous that its too big for me. Lance and Jeremy are tall people…
Very cool. I have been stuck on Ibex’s website wondering about their bikes. I look forward to the review.
Duke,
Between, Priscilla, Moe and I, we’ve owned several Ibex bikes. I’ve been a fan of theres since they first opened. Good quality bikes and every year they are getting better and better.

I have owned 3 Ibex bikes. 2004 Classic 3300, 2004 Ignition 1 and now a 2008 Ignition 2. Their customer service can’t be beat. For the money I think they are some of the best bikes around. I always go check out my 3 local bike shops. They have some nice bikes, but comparables are always $1400 or $1700. I jus can’t justify paying that much when I can get a sweet ride from Ibex for $700 or $1000. I figure I’ll keep stepping up until I get to the Ignition Super or whatever their new model is in a few years.
I bought an ignition-3 based on the component specs, price, this and other great articles. I received my new bike just under a week and I must say that even though the pictures are great in this review, having this bike in front of you is a dream. So far this bike performed beautifully on 3 mountain trails. I get constant complimants from other bikers.
How do you like your Ibex Ignition so far? Any pedal bob issues? How does it compare to other full suspension bikes?
Martin,
The ibex ignition has done very well for me. I just took 1st place at the Southridge Winter Series DH race with it….yes I use it as my DH bike…
