Review: Serfas Performance Saddle TGU-2 TEGU
Serfas (of eyewear fame) has jumped into the saddle market and in a big way, with 67 saddles, 24 of which comprise the performance category. Serfas did not jump into the saddle market half-heartedly. They did their homework first and every saddle is a well thought out product, taking advantage of several Serfas developed technologies. All of which makes for great marketing, but Serfas backs up their claims with a 90-Day comfort and satisfaction guarantee!
I was lucky enough to get to test the TGU-2, aka TEGU performance saddle. My first impression was that this is gonna be a great saddle. The feel was that of firm, supportive yet comfortable seat. Almost like the RECARO race seats in my buddy’s STI. My first impressions proved true, this is a uber-comfortable all day, epic MTB saddle. With it’s Ti rails and claimed 314 gram weight, it’s also a candidate for endurance races. I guess the best compliment I can give is that I don’t want to give it back. With a MSRP of $80 bucks though, I guess I can afford to buy one.
Rub my magic lamp and make $400 in one day,try earlier, chance bigger …:)
Ya right…last time I rubbed a “magic lamp” it wasn’t a lamp…
