Way too hot to be riding…
Saturday morning I assembled a small crew to do some downhill riding. One of the guys that was present was Art Aguilar. Mr. A has been racing downhill since the 90’s and currently he’s an Expert level racer. So when we met up on Saturday we decided to film some how to videos (coming soon) on basic downhill riding. Mr. A is a great instructor and once I have the videos done, I’ll post them up.
This is Mr. “Jump Master” Art on one of the segments we filmed. Check out his outfit, its the 2010 Dainese Downhill collection.
Guess who showed up….Wes “GQ” Castro. Yup, he’s back on the bike, but more on that later.
By the time 10am hit, the temperature hit about 100 degrees…aye, way too hot!
Taking a break before filming part 2, rock gardens/picking the right line. From left to right, Dan Burdett, Doc Thunda, Wes Castro and Art Aguilar.
Rock garden segment.
Before I end this post, I’d like to show off my new threads, courtesy of Dainese.
Here’s a nice butt shot to show off the shorts.
As I mentioned we filmed some videos, but the stupid heat caused some problems with the tape…I’ll try to salvage it and post up a multi-part video. Thanks again to Art Aguilar for his expertise and for Doc Thunda for helping out with the camera work.
“Wow,hot”!! Now that’s an understatement. It was really, really hot out there RL.I was wiped out the rest of the day.
Your welcome with the gear and have fun testing the new DH gear.
That sucks that some of the video got messed up, well I guess we will have to go shoot some more, but next time when it’s cooler.
Maybe Laguna.
Talk later, and thanks again RL for giving a little back.
Oh and I had fun, hope you guys did too. Hope to do the next parts soon.
Hey guys if you want to film again I’ll be out in Laguna doing Telonix next weekend.
Now Telonnix would be cool.
I would love to this weekend, but I’ve already got plans.
thanks
RL
rode (tried) Southridge on Friday and it was hot in full gear we managed one run. Gotta sweet mountain shuttle spot that made for a great Sunday though.
R1d3r,
Southridge woudn’t be so bad if you had a quad or dirt bike shuttling you up. I’ve got a small mini bike with a 5.5 hp motor that we used once as a shuttler.
