Blackjack Bike Ride Update
A few days ago I posted a ride that we were hosting for one of our Staffer’s Bday Ride. We called it the Blackjack ride because we planned on playing a hand of blackjack at each rest stop of the ride.
The Moe was kind enough to grace us with his presence. I was so excited that I was standing there pointing…”Look guys, its THE MOE!!!”
Lady P and the Birthday Boy, Khoa.
Here’s a picture that shows Doc Thunda (in green) after pushing me down and said, “this is what bad cholesterol can do to you! It will knock you off your feet, make sure you take care of yourself!” But little did Doc know that The Moe was conducting prostate exam on him. The Moe’s facial expression makes me think he was really enjoying it. The guy in white is Cons, he wasn’t amused at all by our medical talk.
Guess who showed up, Artie the One Man Party! Check out his custom number plate.
I had told The Moe that there was cold beer sitting in a cooler at our first rest stop. So he decided to race everyone for it.
We then played our first and second hands at our rest stops. Doc Thunda was getting upset and yelling “These cards are FIXED!” because he wasn’t winning.
By the time we ended our ride, we headed over to Roscoe’s in Downtown Fullerton to celebrate Khoa’s bday. Lady P made this amazing cake for him. A bit of history about Khoa, he loves anything Apple. He owns just about every single Apple product ever made. So it was fitting that Lady P made an iCake for him.
Here’s a closer look at the cake. If you didn’t know Lady P (Priscilla) is a Cake Artist, she owns The Sweet Cakery, she makes custom cakes and what you see there is one of her creations. Each button is custom cut to make it look like iphone icons. Did you see Angry Birds on there? Cool eh? By the way, The Sweet Cakery is a sponsor of the MtnBikeRiders.com Race Team.
Turns out our Blackjack game was a hit with the guys. Congrats to the birthday boy for winning the overall points. This earned him a nice warm beer that is actually still in the trunk of my car.
From left to right; Lady P, The Moe, Ken, Artie, Doc Thunda, Cons, Khoa and RL. Jon was kind enough to take the photo. Check out my socks, those are my Business Socks.
I think The Moe enjoyed the red velvet cake.
If I’m not mistaken Cons was saying how good his sandwich was…or he may just be drunk. Doc Thunda was still upset about the Blackjack game that he decided to drown his sorrows with his food…
So that’s about it for our Blackjack Ride. We wish Khoa a happy birthday and want to let him know we appreciate his friendship and all that he does for the site.
Good times! 🙂
Thanks guys!
