Make your levers grippier
Not sure if grippier is actually a word, but judging from my spell check it’s not. Anyhow so I had this idea come to me because it was something I recently did for my motorcycle brake/clutch levers. I basically wanted more grip on my levers. So you ready?
First thing you do is grab one of those heat shrink sleeves that best matches the size of your brake lever. I actually had to cut this one to size. I bought my shrinks at Harbor Freight for a few bucks.
Then I took my heat gun and start shrinking the shrink.
So here’s the final product. I’m typically a 1 finger braker, but on occasion I need to grab more brake, I tend to recruit my middle finger to do the job. You could actually use the shrink up to the end of the lever if you wanted to cover it all, just be careful when you’re using the heat gun and not point it to your grips or brake reservoir. If you really wanted to customize this DIY, you can buy shrinks in a variety of colors…yes even in pink!
