Father’s Day, Here’s a stick for ya…

Have you ever got a stick in your spoke or derailleur or maybe your handlebar? Father’s day presented an opportunity for 5 of us Dads to get out for an uncontested ride. Mark, member of the Mtnbikeriders racing team, came out to push the group a little harder and show off his amazing riding skills. He brought the fully rigid single speed to make things a little more even for the rest of us. He also brought along a little friend to even things out a little more…check out the pics. ]

Marks curb feeler

Fortunately this happened right at the end of our ride. I heard it puncture his tire and the sound echoed through the mountains and sent young children running mothers crying. To my amazement Mark stayed vertical and his nerves unfettered; he is truly a machine.

While these other pansies are riding mountain bikes with their matching spandex and color coordinated...so called KITS...I'm bangin' their wives at home and she just served me breakfast in bed and I washed it down with a cold beer. Enjoy your ride suckas, cuz I know I did!

I’m curious to know, after he pulled the stick out, did the sealant work? Or was the hole too big?

The hole was huge ! No way sealent was going to work. Goes to show you that even runing tubeless you still need to carry a spare tube.
