Great things about to come from Sette Bikes

From what I heard,Sette USA (Bikes),distributed by PricePoint.com, is doing a big reveal of a whole new lineup on September 1, 2010. Their current campaign is simply called “Adjust Your Thinking.” Supposedly they have lots of new models and these new bikes will be what they call…”game changers”.

I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to it. I’ve always been a fan of Sette Bikes.

i’m planning on building up a FS bike over the winter, and i’m REALLY looking at the Ace frame. my riding is somewhere between XC and AM (what are they calling that now? “trail”? meh, i’m getting downright tired of all these different gawddamn “categories”!!!) given my 5’2″, 120lb size, i think the Ace is plenty for me (i’ve never bottomed out a 4″ travel bike and i like that it’s about 2lb’s lighter than the Flite…which i wouldn’t kick out of bed either, if ya dig what i’m sayin’.)

anyway, i’m excited that Sette is releasing new stuff soon. the few products of theirs that i’ve seen first-hard are really top-notch for the cash (don’t get me wrong, i lust after a Yeti ASR, especially since they’re made here in CO, but i have a hard time justifying over $1000 just for a frame.) i just hope Sette doesn’t end up like Giant and start charging a lot more just because they get popular. i’m starting to see KHS slowly creep up in price as more people get hip to them, and it’s been happening at Kona for the past few years too.

Sette makes some great stuff at real-world prices and i hope they keep that ethic as a top priority. at the very least, hopefully they keep their prices low until i can actually afford to order my frame!
