I’ve always been an advocate for helmets. But for some reason I’m hearing more and more stories of mountain bikers not wearing them while riding. I don’t have a clue why anyone wouldn’t wear one on the trail…things can be unpredictable out there.
Check out this clip, the dude does one stunt with out a helmet, crashes and you’ll see how messed up he was. Then in the second scene, he’s wearing one…he still crashes… but look how quick he was to get up.
Perhaps the helmet helped in absorbing some crazy shock to his head…but regardless, you should ALWAYS wear a helmet!
