Ibex B-Series Frame

Fedex just dropped of our first project on MtnBikeRiders.com, a brand new B Series Frame from Ibex Bicycles. Though the B Series bike was discontinued for 07, but it will be back on 08, we liked the frame so much that we asked Mr. J of Ibex about building one. He even threw in an FSA headset!

Here are the specs of the frame:

Details:

Frame: 6061 Aluminum – Geometry designed for our Dual Sport models works equally well as a high-performance street cruiser, an trail oriented mountain bike… or both!

Included:

Kalloy Quick Release Seatpost Clamp
Derailleur Hanger, Touch-up Paint & Manual

Component Requirements
Fork: 1 & 1/8″ steerer tube – 70-100mm travel
Bottom-Bracket: 68mm (spidle length according to crankset)
Front Derailleur: 31.8mm clamp diameter (1 & 1/4″)
Seatpost: 27.2mm diameter (not included)
Brakes: Disc or V-brake

So stick around for the build up. We’re thinking of adding a TruVativ Blaze crank set, Shimano XTR in the front and rear derailleurs, Hayes MX2 Mechanical Disc Brakes, brakes levers/shifters, deore hubs, WTB Weirwolf tires, an Azonic handle bar, to top that off, we’re going to go with a Marzochhi MX Pro with ETA…its about 4 1/2 inches of travel baby!
