NiteRider SolMate First impression

Light, mount and battery

I needed a helmet mounted light and since I was really impressed by my NiteRider MiNewt Dual, I decided to purchase their NiteRider SolMate light.

Here are the features from NiteRider.com:

4:00 HR Regulated Run Time
Helmet Mount (SolMate System)
Borofloat Lens
115 Lumens
Lightweight, Compact
NiMH Battery Pack

SYSTEM INCLUDES
LED Headlamp NiMH Battery
Handlebar Mount – Fits up to 31.8mm
8 HR Linear Smart Charger
Helmet Mount (SolMate System)

First Impression:

The first time I used this light system was at the Tour de Tryptophan. This little light was an awesome complement to my MiNewt Dual system. The light is very bright and best of all, the whole system is very small and light. The light stayed bright for the entire 2 hour ride and never faded. I will be doing more night rides and will do one the SolMate alone. Stay tuned for the full review!
