Sette Sierra 2 Bike Hitch Mount Rack Update

We found a drawback with the Sette Sierra 2 Bike hitch mount rack, notice on the lower right hand side of the picture how the exhaust is pointing to the wheel of the bike. The exhaust of Jeremy’s Honda Pilot caused the wheel to overheat potentionally damaging the bike.

Well, my Nissan Frontier just happens to have a hitch that will fit the Sette Sierra 2 rack and the exhaust points to the right of the truck, so I volunteered to test the rack.

Since Jeremy did all the hard work, all I had to do is insert the receiver to the hitch and in 2 seconds I was ready to go.

I picked up the New to me Pinarello Track bike from RL’s house. The bike was easy to mount and the locking device of the rack secured the bike pretty good. We will be taking the rack to the Sea Otter Classic this weekend. Stay tuned for my update.
