Besides riding a bike, I find that building a bike is almost as satisfying. I have finally finished assembling the Soul Cycles Dillinger, it is quite a nice looking bike!

Will you be using the Racers Tape on the Soul Cycle to protect the downtube, top tube and chain stays? I’d like to know the ease of application and how well it protects in real trail conditions.

If you look closely, you can barely see the tape on the first picture next to the badge. The tape is very easy to apply and I used it “generously” on areas that may get cable rub and little nicks.
Dt, I would imagine that a SS bike wouldn’t need a chain stay protector since the chain shouldn’t be slapping around.

I wouldn’t say you need some coverage on the chainstays for the chain slap–its for when you say, change tires and the chain was left hanging/banging against the chainstay or just general protection when handling the bike i.e. leaning against something, or putting it on the rack etc…

I totally missed that! If you didnt point it out I wouldnt have noticed it. Headbadges always capture the eye first! I’m glad that its almost invisible–that convinces me to wrap the frame on my bike (and fingers crossed) on my next bike.
