Well technically any tools you have and use on your bikes will always save you money. But when ever I use the Park DAG-2 Derailleur Alignment Tool, I can feel the savings in my wallet. I’ve talked about this tool on more than a few occasions,and its with good reason. I’ve used this tool enough to have easily paid for itself and a double cheese burger. In fact I just used it the other day on Priscilla’s bike.

What you gotta understand is this, your derailleur hanger, the aluminum kind, are like a delicate flower and any time you bump it or even lay your bike down on the drive train side, it can potentially bend it enough to cause it to misshift. The cost to have it aligned by a shop can be as much as $25 a pop! So do the math and you’ll figure out that its totally worth getting this tool.
