Tuesday Brews Day: Victory, Hop Devil

I’d been sticking too much to the west coast beers recently so thought this one would be a good pick for this week. It comes from Victory Brewing in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. One of our loyal readers(I believe it was Jeremy but I could be wrong) pointed me in Victory’s direction and I’m glad I listened. There sure are a lot of small, quality breweries on the rise and Victory is no exception. Below is their new restaurant. If you live in the area it might be a nice place to try out.

This one is billed as a summer brew but you won’t be disappointed if your drinking in the cold. As you might have guessed it’s a hop filled treat of a brew. The drink is light on your tongue but carries 6.7% alcohol. The flavor is wonderfully crisp but isn’t sharp. I could taste some spiciness in there but wasn’t sure if it was that or the alcohol giving off an ever so slight warmth. Sorry, my buddy and I drank the entire 6 pack before I could remember to take a picture of it in the glass. It was that good, I guess. I’m already searching for other Victory brews. If this is a sign of things to come I’m in for a real treat.

4 out of 5 damned souls recommend it
