Over 50 and still riding
We launched MtnBikeRiders.com 17 years ago but we have been riding for longer than that. I am now on my early 50s, Art on his mid 50s and RL is on his late 40s and things have changed a lot.
I am still actively riding and one of the biggest things that I have changed is what I look for in a bike and equipment.
Long gone are the days where an aggressive geometry, a very fast bike or minimal accessories matter. Now I am all about comfort and utility, and yes, a motor.
We will be switching the focus of this site towards our experiences as more “mature” riders. No, we won’t be switching the name to oldmtnbikeriders.com but if you are young and thinking that this content is not for you; think again, you will be old one day!
