AMP Mountain Bikes

Not too long ago my buddy and I traded services. I fixed his older Amp Bicycle and he did the brakes on my car, not a bad deal eh?

So here are some pics of it.

It’s got this funky A-arm suspension designed by AMP back in the 90’s

There’s no paint on it, just straight aluminum. Perhaps a clear coat…Kinda reminds me of the DeLorean cars.

This bike was laced with Shimano Deore, with the Bio-Pace chain rings.

Single pivot suspension.

I had learned that when this bike was brand spankin’ new in the early 90’s, this bad boy cost over $3000!

Now AMP doesn’t even make bikes anymore. They make truck accessories. But I did find this drawing in their archives.

Apparently they had patents for these designs.

    Sorry bud,

Our images for the most of our 2007 articles were deleted by a douche bag hacker.
