Rider Down

One of the unfortunate things to happen to any rider is a crash that will sideline them for a few days or a few weeks.

Well it happened to my beloved, no not Moe, but Priscilla. She had a nasty fall about a week ago. She basically was going too fast and in the process of trying to avoid colliding with another rider, she went OTB. Apparently during the fall, her bike landed on her chest.

The doctors said she was lucky to not have broken anything. According to the docs and x-rays, they said she has a contusion of ribs, neck strain and a thoracic region strain. That didn’t even include her boo boos on her knee and shoulder, oh and her scratched up sunglasses.

So now she’s been seeing the Chiropractor and has been popping pain pills like Skittles in order for her to deal with her aches and owies. Priscilla is one tough cookie, so for her to complain that something hurts, then I know that it must be REALLY bad. If I were in her shoes with the same injuries, I’d be asking for morphine and all sorts of other goodies, that’s only because I’m a big baby.

If you’re at all inclined to wish her well, please don’t let me stop you from sending care packages, and flowers with a card wishing her a fast recovery. Oh she also likes chocolates, but for that, you’ll have to send it to my attention and I will make sure she gets them (wink wink).

Best luck for a speedy recovery! It’s been about 2 years since I went OTB and had the bike land on top of me. I sympathize.
