What’s your preferred post ride beverage?

For the most part, alcohol is fantastic after a great bike ride. Some of the folks we ride with on Thursday nights will enjoy your traditional beer such as Fat Tire, Corona and the like. Priscilla and Kim like to get their drink on with Cranberry Vodka. The Animal can down a few servings of Rum and Coke.

The Moe prefers to imbibe with Don Julio.

I’m not a big alcoholic like the other folks, so I like to drink a nice cool, Diet Coke.

What about you? What do you prefer?

i don’t drink hard liquor anymore (aside from the occasional glass of The Macallan, but that’s more of a “relaxing with a good book” drink, rather than a post-ride beverage), so i’ll usually go for a beer: Stella Artois is a good standby. or i’ll go for one of our local brews, like Lefthand Brewing’s JuJu Ginger or Easystreet Wheat (oddly enough, i don’t like Fat Tire. go figure.) whatever’s on tap, i’ll usually go for a lager or pilsner after a ride, since they’re more refreshing than, say, a stout. my first choice though, if the bar has it on tap, is a Strongbow Cider!

i also almost always drink a small Gatorade or other sports drink right after the ride, especially if i’m really sweating.
