Over the Hump Race Mountain Bike Series

Over the Hump Race Mountain Bike Series, or just before the Hump as this race series runs on Tuesdays after work here in Orange County. I attended tonight’s first race of the series for 2010 with my lil’ Animal, she loved it. She was screaming and cheering for all the racers.

How many bike races have you seen with a floating bridge?

Cheer section, hopefully next week I can race.

Eric Bierman on the right placed first in the pro class I believe. Steven K Sports Team

Overall a really nice setup around and over Irvine lake.

So that’s what you meant by “floating bridge.” Cool, hopefully you can race next week!

That bridge is pretty cool. Is it always there or set up like that for the race? They should have had a few people jumping up and down on it for added difficulty.

Big Mike the floating bridge was used due to extra high lake levels, last year the race was dry in the same area. Irvine lake is only open to riding just before the race with a number plate and during the race itself, so it levels the playing field a bit.
